Who We Are

Horizon began with the establishment of a Horizon faith-based dorm at Tomoka C.I. near Daytona Beach Florida in 1999. The model has since spread to six other prisons in five states.

Our Vision

Horizon promotes and supports faith and character-based communities in prison that prepare inmates to live responsibly with others in mutual support, trust and respect, facilitating institutional adjustment and successful reintegration into society. Horizon works with corrections departments and community and faith based organizations to develop volunteer and financial resources supporting a twelve month residential program.

Types Of Activity

Twelve month residential programs with emphasis on respect for God, self and others, family reunification, improving education, employability and citizenship.

Location

Florida, Ohio, Texas and Oklahoma.
