Who We Are We are members of the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers of Irving, TX. We are a pen pal ministry sharing words of encouragement and hope from the Word of God with men and women who often do not hear from family and friends. We connect inmates with other ministries to provide books, Bible studies, and other assistance as needed.
Our Vision At mail call in most settings there are two groups of people. The first group goes to mail call expecting to receive mail. The second group goes to mail call hoping to receive mail. In prison there is a third group; those who do not go to mail call because they have lost hope of receiving any word from anyone in the outside world. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a man or woman who has lost hope?.
Types Of Activity Pen pal letters. We tell men and women in prison that we are not a dating service, nor do we offer legal advice, nor do we put money on inmate accounts. We tell men and women in prison that if they want to talk with someone who will not judge them for their past, but in the love of Christ, be a friend to them, then he or she has found a friend.
Location Federal, state, and county jails in all 50 states. 8 countries outside the U.S.
Our magazine (newsletter)
Encouraging Hope- contains a short Bible lesson, application discussion, and a hymn. We have 57 editions published to date.
Praise Behind the Walls- contains Bible lesson, inmate stories, poetry, and art- published quarterly.
About Our Prison Ministry This ministry was incorporated in June of 2008. We are an IRS recognized 501 C 3 non-profit charitable organization, group #1620. A tax deductible receipt will be provided to you to acknowledge your gift. All gifts are greatly appreciated.
Support In We need more free world pen pals. We need to connect with Bible and book publishers to provide these resources to our inmate pen pals. We need financial support to extend the number of times we can publish and to extend the outreach of this ministry. We are gaining about 150 new inmate pen pals per month.
