Who We Are

GROW ministries is a non profit organization dedicated to serving women in crisis. We are a two fold ministry with a support group for abused women and a prison ministry which serves women both while incarcerated as well as after the inmate is released. We are the only faith based transitional housing program for women, as well taking our post release achievers (our clients) from incarceration to independence, in our community.

Our Vision

Our vision is: to provide a safe, structured Christian environment to aid women in their growth with the Lord Jesus Christ. to develop a lifestyle free of drugs/alcohol and to develope new ways to live, to change their heart, to change their thinking, to change their actions.

Types Of Activity

Our transitional housing program is very structured. Each client is assigned an aftercare team of 2-7 people trained to take care of their needs while at the Greenhouse our transitional housing program. There are classes for criminal and addictive thinking, relapse prevention classes, money management, Bible studies, and a faith based addiction class.

Location

Scott county jail, Davenport Iowa, and Rock Island county jail in Rock Island, IL we also pen pal with inmates at MT Pleasant, Iowa and Oakdale, Iowa, as well as Dwight correctional center and Mitchellville, Iowa.

About Our Prison Ministry

In our quad city area we are the only faith based organization that does what we do in both of our areas of ministry. We have only been around for about five years but already have won new program of the year in 2006 from the Scott county sheriff's dept of corrections in Davenport, Iowa.
