Who We Are

The Oratory of the Common Life is associated with the Old Catholic Church. We minister to all who come in peace regardless of denominational affiliation or lack of one. In addition we are a catholic community and fully authorized to offer the sacramental services of the church.

Our Vision

Prison ministry is a new venture for us. We are not sure where this will lead us. Our goal is to assist others in their spiritual journey where that may lead. We have found that if we listen long enough and hard enough, opening our minds, then we receive guidance and direction - day by day.

Types Of Activity

Our community reads (prays) the Daily Lectionary (breviary) as our central unifying element. Each of us is sacramental in our own manner as the situation demands. We are fully qualified to minister the sacraments of the church and do so when requested. We are qualified to teach the use of the Daily Office (breviary) to any who ask, as well as other meditation methods.

Support In

Pray for all of us as we go slouching towards Bethelham.
