Who We Are

Established in 2003, the SJM Family Foundation is a private family foundation that serves and reflect the personal choices of each member of the SJM family. Our mission is to improve the quality of individuals' lives, causing a long-term impact by demonstrating commitment to people, organizations, and churches while seeking solutions for specific social problems through research, training, and support.

Our Vision

We seek to invest in people's lives and build the community through support of projects and organizations with the purpose of providing opportunities for individuals as well as strengthening family bonds.

Types Of Activity

Our foundation provide free online training in Grantwriting and Nonprofit Management to prison ministries, its board, staff and volunteers. We have a National Rehabilitation and Re-Entry correspondence program for inmates (which has been listed in PrisonWorld, Prison Living Magazine, Prison Legal News and Prisoners' Guerrilla Handbook to Correspondence Programs In the United States and Canada-2008 edition by Dr. Jon Marc Taylor).

Books we have published

SJM Family Foundation has published an 54 page informative booklet entitled, "Getting Ahead: An Ex-Con's Guide to Getting Ahead in Today's Society." Compiled by a former federal inmate, the booklet features tips for ex-offenders and inmates who will return to society within 18 months. It is available in an electronic or hard copy format.
