Who We Are

Thunderbolt Ministries Inc. is a Florida based Non-Profit (Tax Exempt) corporation which serves as an Outreach Prison Ministry to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music and counsel to men and women, young and old, in our prison system as well as troubled youth and the elderly.

Our Vision

Thunderbolt Ministries Inc. was founded by Brother Walter Ponder in 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida. After working for the City Government for 22 years and being a professional gospel singer, radio and television artist. Brother Walter decided to dedicate his time towards Outreach Prison Ministry. Brother Walter has been singing gospel music for over 50 years, having started singing when he was just a lad (4 years old).
